So, remember my big plans to finish the novel manuscript that I didn’t finish during NaNoWriMo? Well, that is taking a bit longer than I anticipated. Last week, I had good excuses–Chanukah, the fact my kids had a few days off of school, and it was an editing week for me.
On the other hand, this week has involved me being distracted: housework, driving my kids to their appointments, drafting shorter pieces to meet my monthly obligations, and just being plain old distracted. My output on the novel manuscript this week is around 500 words. I would commit to doing better the rest of this week, but I have to leave in 12 minutes for yet another appointment (yes, for the kids), and tomorrow is “get ready for Shabbos” day.
I’ll just have to buckle down and do better next week. If you bump into me, feel free to give me a nudge.
Meanwhile, The Wisdom Daily just published a new essay from me, another about death and destruction. 😉 Adina At Her Best is now due out in a month. I have to prepare Letters of Introduction to send out to local schools, etc. about appearances, and I have to send emails to people who blog about books or write reviews to ask if they’d like a review copy. Can you tell I love having to market myself? 😛 If you would like to host me at an L.A. area school, or if you would like to review my book for a blog or print publication (not for pay from me), send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or comment below with your details.
